India to send 1.4 crore hydroxychloroquine tablets to 13 countries

India has cleared first list of 13 countries for sending Hydroxychloroquine. The name of the countries in the first list are USA, Spain, Germany, Bahrain, Brazil, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Seychelles, Mauritius & Dominican Republic.


USA had asked for 48 lakh tablets of HCQ, India has sanctioned 35.82 lakh tablets.

Germany will also get 50 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine in the second consignment.

Brazil will get 50 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine in the second consignment.

Canada will get 50 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine (in second consignment); in first consignment they are only receiving 1.5 MT API.

Bangladesh will get 20 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine.

Nepal will get 10 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine.

Bhutan will get 2 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine.

Sri Lanka will get 10 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine in the second consignment.

Afghanistan will get 5 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine.

Maldives will get 2 lakh tablets of Hydroxychloroquine.

According to Health ministry, India needs one crore Hydroxychloroquine tablets, and currently India has 3.28 crore Hydroxychloroquine tablets and 1-2 crore tablets can be produced.
